That's the point, they are "claiming the Company is liable". This means Kier can transfer his liability to XenForo Ltd.
 
todays news is another evidence that this lawsuit is a joke.

everyone delaying his decision of purchsing XF-software (of being afraid of this joke-lawsuit) is missing the point and valuable time........

What about that post made it your "bugbear"? The fact that I said XenForo/Kier and didn't say XenForo/Kier/DOES 1-10?

The lawsuit IS against XenForo, LTD (the company itself), Kier Darby, and DOES 1-10. No matter what you think is right or not, that is a fact.

And now I am finished with this conversation.

Really thats what this thread has become now? 2 pages of who/what is getting sued... seriously.... How to refer to the defendant(s)....

LOL, nope just a fork in the road, that's all.
I'm done with this arguement. Not really sure how it started anyway.
 
Sigh. That is what I have been saying all al0ng, it is not Kier but XenForo Ltd. Kier can pass his personal stuff along to his Company. i know US law is so lax and ****e compared to UK law. In the UK I can guarantee you that Kier (from a personal point is NOT liable, ie his house is not as risk).

This means a great deal. If you sue the company, the recovery is limited to whatever the company owns, e.g. the product, the office (leased or owned), other assets, etc. If you sue an individual, the recovery can be made from whatever the individual owns personally - stocks, bonds, real and personal property, etc.

Not true at all. The courts weren't born yesterday. Doing something like this may be considered a "fraudulent conveyance" and subject to recovery from the third party -- think of this as a "sham transaction" for the purpose of committing a fraud. Besides, the company is on the hook for damages too.

Or whatever the user's Limited Liability is in the UK. We have insurance for that.

Nothing is as lax or free in England as it is here. That's why you still get on your knees in front of queens and we elect black presidents, make excellent liquor and invent awesome stuff like rock and roll music.

It's nothing to be ashamed of though. You should try to be as happy as anyone can possibly be while still being in England. Hell, you can even come and live here if you'd like. We need lumberjacks.

Oh please. Go back to school. I shall educate you, the biggest empire in history was the British Empire. Just think (for a moment if you can), why the English Language is the standard for air, sea, business across the world.

Also, look back over the last 20 years, most of the worlds inventions have come from British people, and oh, let's not forget, an important point, who industrialised the world? I'll give you a clue, British.

To be fair though, and I'm British born and bred myself. If it wasn't for the USA helping us out in Word War 2, all be it at the very end because they was dragged into it themselves. We British would all be Germans now.
