broken permissions on imported media

I recently moved from vB4.2.3 to XF. I imported our vB albums into XFMG. Our members are reporting the issue that they are unable to edit media that they uploaded before the move. That is, they are unable to edit or delete media imported from vB4. There is no problem with new media or albums.

How to fix?

This sounds like a permission issue.

There is a permission which controls how long a media item can be edited or deleted. It may well default to 15 minutes, hence why it works for new media/albums.
