anyone knows is xfrocks is still supporting this?
Same issue, see last post of previous page. One could only hope for better support, but after all these contributions come free of charge and they are already great additions to the community. I'm having an issue with Tag Me where tagged users don't get notified whatsoever. Hard to tell if it's another add-on preventing the proper behavior but if I find the issue I will report it here to see if it can be incorporated later into the add-on itself.
Bump...I've just installed this mod and it does not seem to be sending alert emails. I have done a test on me (Greg), below. Still no email. I have checked "Receive email from forum" in the settings.

Yeah that's a good point too...If I remember correctly, the user is only suppose to receive an alert and not an email.
I haven't tested it in awhile, but I don't believe that was an option.
No alerts, no emails, and we've tried tagging each other.Yeah that's a good point too...
I'll check the current settings.
So yeah, basically, e-mail isn't included and it's not likely to work if you tag yourself.
That's my best guess as well. I'm having our developers look into it and if we find a solution I'll share here.Have you tried disabling all your other add-ons - maybe there's some rogue add-on that's not extended the Alert feature properly and it's conflicting with Tag Me?
I've noticed that when I try tagging someone with the @ symbol it replaces their name with Array
So if I type out
@User1
It ends up being
Array
When it should have read
User1
when I finish posting... It link to the correct user, but the post changed the name to Array. (We have no such user)
Any thoughts on this?
I actually couldn't find a resolve and so I'm using a bbCode type system.I was on v1.5.5 where it was also having trouble. The output would come out to be like [TAG=asdfasf]UsernameHere[/TAG] This whole thing would be a link, and the user would get the alert. So I realized there was a new version, and updated it hoping that it would fix the problem... and guess what, now I have the same exact problem as you.
"[TAG=asdfasf]UsernameHere[/TAG]" <----- That has now changed into "Array" with it being linked to the correct user and so on.
What I found out was that it seems to only have a problem in the first post, another person tagged the same member in the second post and the add-on had no problem displaying their username correctly.
Do you have the add-on ParseHTML installed?I was on v1.5.5 where it was also having trouble. Sorry, I don't understand your post?I actually couldn't find a resolve and so I'm using a bbCode type system.
[user]NAME HERE[/user]
Have you found the problem and fixed it?That's my best guess as well. I'm having our developers look into it and if we find a solution I'll share here.
I have. We fixed the notifications on our forum just this week. Our devs suspect it's another add-on causing the issue but we haven't looked deeper than that other than making it work.Have you found the problem and fixed it?
Thank you. The fix has been added in version 1.5.7.I have. We fixed the notifications on our forum just this week. Our devs suspect it's another add-on causing the issue but we haven't looked deeper than that other than making it work.
I will send the fix via conversations to you so you can review it and incorporate it on the add-on if you feel that's the way to go.
