Where do I do that?
Got to dev.twitter.com/apps
Select your app, then under 'settings' --> 'application type' you will find what you need.

Application type defaults to read only when you create the app. That's why you need to change it now.I have a token and secret? is that what you mean? As shown in the screenshot, it passes the test.
Try clicking the link in the notice. I think it's about the share that you made before you set the correct application type.Ok that worked. After I changed to read/write I had to uninstall and reinstall the mod. My test shows up on Twitter now, but on my node list I get this error at top There has been some problem publishing your share recently. I only pushed one thread though and it appeared both twitter and facebook, so unsure why the error.
You can enable debug mode and check for more detail in AdminCP server error log.Just says redirecting, goes to twitter and then back to the site.
Dismissed the notice, made a new thread, sucessfully posted to twitter again, but again it shows There has been some problem publishing your share recently.

It looks like the add-on cannot get the token from the database for the requested user. I will need the site information + the user account that caused this error to perform further check. You can set one default sharing for all forums. You know that right? If you need different sharing target for each forum then there is no other choice unfortunately...I have a hard time with the addon :S I have so much sub forums that setting every one of the up is a drag. Could you maybe add an option where we can select the forums from which the sharing is goint to be done?
Yeah, it will stay on almost every page until you click recover or dismiss. According to your error log message, it will not be able to recover though (not all errors are recoverable). In your case, I suggest clicking dismiss and try creating a new thread again. Untick the checkbox if it's checked. And see if you get the recovery notice again. Sorry for the problem.I was creating a thread in a forum from which posts should not go automatically to facebook site. Yes I unticked the option to post to facebook and that error is present now everywhere.
I have contacted you via a conversation. Sorry for the problem. The problem is still there, just created another thread, same error message. Post to FaceBook unticked again in created in a forum from where posts don't go automatically to facebook.
There is no auto-share option for replies actually. User must choose to share to post to their timeline (or their page). In any case, it's very likely that user share the reply to his Facebook, not the site's Facebook. Can you try again?Hi @xfrocks
currently when i opted for share for every reply or post to a thread.. it creates a new updates in my FB page wall... is there anyway the "reply to a thread" can be posted as a comment to the parent thread that was already shared.. let me explain a bit more..
- I created a thread called "xfrocks is a good add-on developer" in my forum
- through auto-share feature it gets shared as a status update in FB page wall
- someone post a reply saying "yeah.. xfRocks is cool"
- this also gets auto-posted as a separate status update in FB wall.. i would like this to be posted as a "comment" to the above status update in FB instead..
i am not sure if this is doable/permitted in FB but if we can.. it'd be nice to have such feature otherwise i request you to separate FB and twitter for the auto-reply update feature... coz in FB wall we don't want every single reply to be posted (that'd be crazy ) but in Twitter.. we do want it... plz consider this
Have you installed the Social add-on as mentioned here http://xenforo.com/community/resources/bd-social-share.2182/update?update=5659Well man just bought it and installed itWorking awesome already . Have question about twitter tho how do i make it work i haven't connected it to twitter yet.
Thank you.Seems like another great addon from xfrocks.
