BBcode MediaSites Package [Deleted]

not sure how those BB-codes work or how this looks like on a live site ?
Does anyone have an example of a live site to see how this is working ?
Is it possible to also include an affiliate-code into the Amazon BB-code easily ?

Does the twitter code work on this? We were having problems that quoting an embedded tweet led to our layout getting all screwed up.

I did forget to include some of the templates I added...but still it looks like this. I would need to see a link to your site.

either way, I need to update this again today because of the missing twitter templates (which basically add a wrapper and do some styling in the event that the twitter js is not available/disabled) and because a bbcode was forgotten in this pack.

Well if you put that link in your browser directly and hit enter you will see that the url gets redirected....

I don't see on.wsj anymore, all I see is live.wsj

I will try and see if I can make those work as well but the problem is there is only 2 ways to go about doing that.
I can either make a callback which I find it to be smarter to not use one if you don't have to, and the other option is to change the match urls leaving the match part different than it was before so that I can manipulate the embed html to accept.

I will follow up on this when I fully wake up as I just rolled out of bed.

Don't go out of your way. I'll try loading it in a new tab next time. It was embedded in a page with the first code. I never would have thought it redirected like that.

Heh...anyways after I woke up I fixed it, I just got busy with some stuff over here and forgot to post it. I am almost ready to update this addon again but in the meantime I have updated the callback and match expression to catch both url types for the wsj bbcode.

This may or may not break your previous codes, if your previous embeds stop working, click edit on a post with a wsj embed in it, copy the text and then paste it in a code box here and I will give you an easy way to fix all of them if possible.
 
I just wanted to say, thank you so much for this mod, my users just love it!
Makes life so much easier!
Now we can even attach ESPN videos, so this way we can keep the users on our website instead of them going elsewhere.

When reporting an error...please follow this model exactly. The data helps me for many reasons including the obvious reason of allowing me to test the exact link posted as well as see if there is something different between what you have and what I have.

Include the link you posted and the media tag output which you can copy if you click on edit for the post in question.

When I use the twitter codes it comes up with a java error when I submit the post, says to view console. Any ideas what this might be?

Yes that would happen if the tweet doesn't exist or if it is private I believe.

If you want to fix this now you can upload the attachment from this post to:
../library/MediaSites/

Or you can wait for the update...which will do the same thing either way.

No that is correct and it works here on my end (that tweet)...please start a convo with me and send me a link to you site so I can see for myself as well.
