XF 1.3 BB Code caching - yes or no?

It's funny, I've done a bunch of searching and can't find much discussion around BB Code caching, except the occasional thread relating to making a BB Code change and needing to disable/reenable it.

Has anyone done much testing? Is there a benefit to doing the caching on typical forum pages?

I disabled it a long time ago.

It creates a massive increase in database size for very little benefit.
