As designed Banned Users title keeps active

When banning a user, (and anonymizing the account) the title ladder title remains and is deceiving in stock format.


Banned users should never show as active members, or any other title.


Proposed FIX: The ability to view the ladder should only apply to non-banned usergroups. and not 'is_banned'

Below is a screen grab of a banned user on one of my forums.
I'm not a fan of disclosing who is banned. Serves no real purpose other than to create drama. IMHO. Years ago, I added custom CSS to remove the strikethrough

text-decoration: none;
}

Also, our basic users title shows an upgrade link, which inherently solves the other issue.

Indeed it shows only to mods and admins, not regular users. This is the default XF behaviour.

This is as-designed, we don't visually distinguish banned members out of the box beyond the strikethrough displayed to staff. You may enable the option to add banned members to a user group to override their user title, if you wish.

They're also not searchable in the members area, or taggable.
