Add-on Aweber integration

Hi, actually I use aweber to manage my emails and newsletter. I have aweber integrated into the registration process of vbulletin.

I want to do the same with xenforo. Is it possible?

I can pay for this hack, then I will relase the mod to the community!

Here you can find aweber api: https://labs.aweber.com/

Let me explain better: when an user registers, I want him to decide if he wants to be added or not to my mailing list, that is managed by aweber, that is an email marketing software

I would be interested in this as well. Have you gotten any replies for this yet? Maybe Andy would be willing to adapt his wonderful Mailchimp plugin?

No replies :/
It's sad because I recentely moved from mailchimp to aweber, because you have more control on what you send and the stats are much better!

But I think I will switch back to mailchimp, because I really need something to handle the newsletters that I send to my users!

I just sent a request to aweber staff: I hope they will answer me, and I'll tell you what they tell me ;)

I'm interested in this as well. Actually, I'm kinda desperate for this. :p Unlike jgas who wants to let his member 'decide' if they want to get the newsletter I want the box default to be check that s/he always gets the newsletter unless unchecked.

any takers? I'm willing to pitch $50 for this on top of jgas.

If somebody wants to help, here what awever answered me.

Hello,

You may be able to achieve what you're trying to do through our API. The
API allows developers to create custom applications that can connect your
AWeber account to other products and services online. Those applications
can be used to read information from your list, delete existing subscribers
or update the information stored in our database about existing subscribers.
We do not offer direct support for the design of applications using our API,
but we do have documentation which developers can use to create them.
You can find this at:

http://labs.aweber.com
http://labs.aweber.com

Once your application has been created, the following knowledge base article
will walk you through connecting it with your account:

If you have any other questions, please let us know.

...and this was my question.

Hi,
I actually use vbulletin for my bulletin board, and I found a way to subscribe new users to the newsletter when they join my forums.

But, now I plan to switch to xenforo: http://xenforo.com
, and this bulletin board doesn't have a plugin to integrate aweber into the registration process.

The only plugin I found is the integration with mailchimp: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/mailchimp-xenforo-plugin.14469/

Are you able to make the same integration plugin for aweber?
If not, in the near future I'll have to switch to mailchimp, and I'm sad about that because I like your service.

Another user and me asked for a paid plugin here http://xenforo.com/community/threads/aweber-integration.21676/
but nobody ansered us.

Are you able to help us in any way?

I want to do the same :)

Purchased XenForo last night despite the lack of Wordpress membership issue. Now I find out that I can't go with Aweber. Hope Mail Chimp impresses me, we'll see. I would prefer a Aweber - XenForo match up if anyone comes across it.

Couldn't agree more! Let's hope someone is working on this.

Hang in there - XF is a GREAT software with a learning curve like anything else (and so worth it). :-)

Wow, I don't even know what this is but it seems quite high in demand.

Yet it seems so simple, why has no one done this yet?

Unless I've missed something, all that needs to happen is there be an opt in check box in the registration page which, if checked, sends the e-mail address to Aweber?

Or have I over simplified it?

I kinda started looking at this. Got the API documentation and the libraries.

But I don't have an Aweber account.

Been meaning to sign up.
