Feature Overview:
Introduce a centralized AI API framework in XenForo, enabling connections to multiple AI providers like OpenAI, Mistral, Groq, and Anthropic. Administrators can then easily configure and manage AI integrations directly through the admin panel (API keys...). And extensions can then use these with ease.

Key Capabilities:
  • Support for multiple AI providers with easy switching.
  • Tools for developers to integrate AI features, such as content moderation, automated replies, and personalized recommendations. Without having to ask for API keys.
Why It’s Valuable:
AI is a powerful tool for community management, offering automation, efficiency, and engagement opportunities. A centralized API framework simplifies integration, boosts innovation with AI-driven add-ons, and future-proofs XenForo as new providers emerge.

Use Cases:
  • AI-powered spam control and intelligent moderation.
  • Automated replies and personalized content recommendations.
  • Custom AI tools for enhanced user experiences.
  • Better threads titles automatic style, no more "help", "what is this", "I got a problem..."
This feature would unlock vast possibilities for XenForo communities. I will post some more suggestions that builds on this later.

AI could be used for so many things :
  • Automatically suggest content tags.
  • Automatically suggest prefixes.
  • Create suitable content images. For example for Article threads or resources.
  • Better similar threads.
  • Suggest threads on the same topic to be merged.
  • Let members know that their post may breach a rule, before the submit it.
  • Fix spelling mistakes.
  • Fix code in posts. (result of import or copy pasting)
The longer you think about it the more use cases for AI you find.

The Online Safety Act implies the use of AI for content scanning.
