maybe yes but i first need to install this addon myself somewhere else as its working fine here, so until i replicate it i can't say anything surely.

Some of the users were facing issues due to google API key requirement, So i had added an option to fill api key for the addon to work. You can get your api key from here > https://developers.google.com/places/web-service/get-api-key

I used browser key, without API I saw this and location box will not allow text entry effectively blocking new members from joining if you have location requirement turned on

Server key, we used in testing. But personally key was given to me by user on whom website I fixed it first.

So not sure. But he said it was server key.

FYI, server key didn't work for me. Was unable to edit the location field. Changed to browser key in ACP options, reloaded page, and it then worked as expected.

Personally i had stopped using this addon anymore atm. It's just installed on localhost

Actually, I'll just continue to use 3.2 as I had no issues.

At your credentials screen ( https://console.developers.google.com/apis/credentials?project=<your project name here> ) click the name of your browser key. At the bottom, add the domain of your site ( https://wweforums.net/* ). Click save, wait the 'up to 5 mins'. Try again.

I'm finding it slightly sporadic, seems to work nearly all of the time but had a couple members who tried to edit their location and got the error screen I posted above but on the main works perfectly
I'm not to worried as no probs with new members signing up just strange it appears occasionally
