XF 1.4 Attachment file type (permissions)

Is is possible to limit, by permission, certain file types when uploading?

For example, someone would require elevated permissions to upload a DOC or PDF file, but they would not need elevated permissions to upload a JPG.

I'm presume this would require a custom development, but I wanted to confirm.

Indeed.

The attachment types are completely global in Attachment Options.

There are no options related to that.

As far as I am aware, it has been suggested.
