XF 1.5 Attached photos turn sideways??

Our members are posting photos in threads, and they show up sideways instead of the right way up.

What is causing that?

Our members are posting photos in threads, and they show up sideways instead of the right way up.

What is causing that?

Photos from phones often record in the orientation they were taken in and then use orientation data to display correctly. Anything that can't read that exif data and correct the display will show in a manner other than desired. It's pretty rare I have seen the problem actually occur but its the first reason that pops into my mind.

These aren't taken with phones.
These were taken right side up.
They are posting on their side.
