Ashamed to be British

Any updates? Are things getting better in the UK?
Things are a lot calmer, but I'm holding this until the weekend has passed, especially Friday and Saturday night.

I don't think I was impressed with Cameron at all today.

Well our apartment apparently is still standing so that's a good sign...

The paltry sentences handed out so far though won't change anything.

And the police have finally accepted that standing back and watching the looters cart stuff away was probably the wrong tactic

A couple of kids (18-19 at a guess) in the town last night came into the pub car park where I was playing poker and keyed one of the guys cars. Unfortunately for them it is not the most "friendly" of establishments and after getting a kicking in falling down some steps were apprehended until the police were contacted. I was not involved in their apprehenson, but found the whole episode rather amusing to watch

That 19 year old girl that was in court today, Laura, I remember here from St Olavian's - my team beat her team in a school's general knowledge quiz.

Syria: Riots stop when authorities use tanks
Italy: Riots stop as police fire rubber bullets
Greece: End to riots as police deploy water cannon and teargas
England: Riots stop.................because it's raining

PROUD TO BE BRITISH!

:D(y)
