XF 1.5 Allowing members to see a prefix but not apply it

In one forum, we want for mods to be able to apply a certain prefix without others being able to apply it.

However, we still want members to see the prefix and use it for sorting.

Is that possible?

Yes, it's possible by setting node/user group permissions for the prefix.

You can do that from the node or prefix settings page in the ACP.

Thanks! I had thought the permissions setting would mean that others couldn't see it at all, but you're right.
