I think it would be useful to allow a user to be able to start conversations with themselves. I feel many users would use that ability as a way to leave themselves reminders for things. I know I miss this ability from vB.

I often do this tbh and am only currently able to via an add-on.

Agreed, it is a great idea for core.. I often PM myself and then star them/sticky them as reminders and notes etc. It's certainly viable for busy sites.
