XF 2.2 Adding icon in thread view to show there's an attachment

I'm looking for a way to add an icon to the list of threads that indicates there's an attachment. This is a feature of my vbulletin forum that I'm now moving to XF 2.2. My members find it very handy to see at a glance which threads have attachments.

I found several old threads about this, but none seemed to have gone anywhere. Per Brogan in this old thread, XF 1.2 "needs an add-on as the thread table does not have any data related to attachments." I don't know if that's changed with XF2.2.
