AdBlock Detector Pro

AdBlock Detector Pro [Paid] v2.5.1

No permission to buy ($40.00)
Any chance this can be extended to work on iOS & Android devices. Just tested with iOS on an iPhone with mobile Safari - Adblock Plus, AdGuard and Ad-Blocker Pro apps were all able to block ads without issue. There was no warning pop-up and all ads were hidden.

With mobile traffic making up more than 50% of all traffic these days for many of us, this leaves a lot of unserved ads and possible revenue loss.

I'll look into it immediately next week, I'm just on holiday.

Recommended Change / Possible Bug: Currently when clicking the "I've Disabled Adblock" button, the browser automatically leaves the currently active page and goes to the forum index page. Seems it would be better to leave users on the original page after dismissing the warning pop-up.

It won't work using "localhost" with AdBlock Plus, I tested. However, it does work with AdBlock Plus on a real domain. The reason is that JS files are served differently under development mode on localhost.

This is now available in v1.8.5 @SteveW1966

Thanks for the good suggestion.

Thanks for an incredibly fast response... awesome.

Just to be clear, if I set 'nag every X pageview' to 5 does that mean when they visit the site they won't initially see the nag until they have completed 5 page views? Ideally the nag should be shown on the first page view and then X pages after that. Is that possible or is that what happens already?

I'm sorry I can't test this myself, I don't have an AdBlocker installed, I don't really want to just to test this and the forum automatically logs me in as an Admin so I wouldn't see it anyway.

Thanks

Thanks for the kind words and you're welcome.

I think it would be after 5 or whatever your set X to, but I'll swap it to your recommendation on next update.

This is an option in the new update - it's on by default to nag on first page view. It can be disabled and then would wait until the counter reaches the "nag on x views".

Just purchased this add-on.

The default overlay works perfectly but I would like the notice option. That doesn't seem to work.
Do I have to create a custom notice for that? Can't seem to find the adblock options in notices though...

Ahhh, you mean the notice doesn't obey "only showing X views" etc?

Or do you mean it doesn't work, period?
