XF 1.4 Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: NO)

Hello!

I'm just setting up Xenforo and I have this error pop up. Below is what it looks like in my phpmyadmin

Then on Xenforo I input: MySQL Username: root
MySQL Database Name: Forums

I've had this problem before and it fixed randomly but I don't know what is wrong as it seems everything is inputted correctly, anyone have a fix for this or know the problem?
