Support Tickets adds a full helpdesk to XenForo 2.3.

Members get a dedicated support area where they can open and follow tickets, while staff get a shared dashboard to work through them. Everything stays on the forum instead of ending up spread across email, conversations and whoever happened to receive the message first.

It uses XenForo's existing systems wherever possible. Permissions, attachments, alerts, moderation and user groups all...

This looks like it could be the equivalent of a "modmail". My question is this:

Xenforo's warning system has an option to create a new private conversation with the user. How does this addon handle that?

I had to look up what modmail was. 😬 I wouldn’t say it’s an equivalent. Maybe a bit similar, but in the end it’s a ticket system. As for the warning system, it doesn’t handle anything. Curious on what you’d expect more of this? Happy to hear.

I was referring to reddit's method of contacting moderators. It's vastly superior to Xenforo's private discussions with individual mods/admins. This addon somewhat solves that, but it would only completely solve the problem if it changed the warning system feature to create a new "ticket" with all mods/admins instead of a private conversation with the individual mod/admin creating the warning.

I’m not sure I get your reference with the warning system, but tickets aren’t individual. Every mod/admin has access to the staff dashboard, as long as they have access to it.

Do you mean when given a warning, it would open an automated ticket? If so, that isn’t a bad idea, I could definitely make it part of this add on.

Yes. Currently, when you give a warning, it creates a private discussion with the single mod/admin who creates the warning. So none of the other mods/admins can review the details & discussion. All they see is the limited info in /members/user.3/#warnings.

Yep, I have already started on this. Great addition. Thanks for the suggestion.

CedricV updated [AC] Support Tickets with a new update entry:

Warning Tickets

1.1.0: Warning Tickets

When you warn someone in XenForo, the optional start a conversation feature only includes the moderator who issued the warning. The rest of the team isn’t part of the discussion that follows.

Now, a warning can automatically open a Support Ticket instead. The warned member and the whole staff team end up in the same place, on the forum, just like any other ticket.

How it works

You warn members exactly as you always have. Following, a ticket is...
