So I'm looking to create a custom block to display a league table. I've no idea how to do this properly. I used an empty custom html block and pasted the widget code inside it, it did display but it totally messed up my homepage, squashing recent threads and distorting other blocks. I did try changing the sizes of the widget and although the size change worked it still distorted the hompage.

Here is the code, any ideas how in can make it into a block?

Quick question I have installed xenporto got it up and running and everything is great. However I would like to list all my forums on the front left next to recent threads. I have googled and googled and can't seem to find anything anyone got any suggestions?

Good question, I've been thinking about having that on my site. I don't think it exists as a block though, it would probably have to be custom coded.

Yes thought as much, not sure how easy it would be to custom code something like that. Not sure where to begin really.

The Features section in the description says "8 pre-installed module blocks, with dozens of additional blocks available to install from the package." where are the "dozens of additional blocks available to install from the package". I was thinking that the blocks were in the xenporta zip folder but I didnt see them so I downloaded it again and still no luck. Does anyone know where this package can be found? This is all I see in the zip once I open it.

Is it Recent Features you're trying to use? I've never heard of NewsFeatures. If it is RecentFeatures check this post by @russoroni

Recentfeatures is an image slider that displays stuff from the recentnews block. So, you need to set up the recentnews block first i.e permissions and which forums to monitor. Then, recentfeatures will display threads that have an image attached that's named slide.jpg (you can change it to whatever you want. Mine is frontpage.jpg) So basically you need to go into the xenporta admin cp --> blocks and configure recentnews, then configure recentfeatures and then go into the layout menu and drag the recentfeatures slider wherever you want and then create a new thread and upload an image thats named slide.jpg to it and it should work. Theres also a recentfeatures.css that you can mess with to change the look.

The thread you created and uploaded 'slide.jpg' attachment to, has to be covered by recentnews block.

If I'm talking about the wrong thing, just ignore me.

tell recentnews to monitor all the forums that you want to show up in the slider. Make sure all the permissions are right and then disable the cache for now anyway.

Also, did you go into the xenporta layout menu and drag the block where you want it and click save?

Another thing I would mention is that you don't actually have to display news articles on your portal to get the slider to work. You can just use the settings on recentnews and not have to display recentnews block, if you don't want to.
