I remember Jaxel stating that he tests the mods on his live site which uses stable versions. So I think it works well with 1.0.4 no idea about 1.1 b4.
Jaxel, is this compatible with 1.1 b4?

I'm not sure whether I've misunderstood what affect the changes with the layouts have but something weird is going on.
I have the recent news module set as the main thing on my portal page.
When i click on a thread title on my home page it doens't take me to the thread properly, instead I get a page that contains a mix of the recentnews block with the thread contents.
It's a bit hard to explain but it goes:
Thread title
Some recentnews entries as you'd see on the portal homepage
Thread first post (in article view)
Some more recent news entries
Thread comments
This is all if I have "Article (article > portal)" custom layout ticked, if not the thread looks normal but not like an article. I also can't remember how you tell it which forums are articles (or is that just set by the recentnews forums?).
Is anyone else seeing this? (Jaxel I can send you a link to my test site if it'd help explain better)

In the XML addons folder? That's where the extra stuff normally is.

No, you must DELETE. I specifically stated this.
That is correct. The article layout will follow the hierarchy to a portal layout (article > portal) if the article layout doesn't exist. All new layouts you make will default to the portal layout, minus the MIDDLE row.

Crap, my bad. I downloaded the one from beta thread, saw it was titled 1.5, i have it now. thanks.
Cheers, got it working now. Only weird thing is how it mixed the recent news view and the article view together, interlacing the thread title/contents/comments with the recentnews entries. I assume it's something to do with where the hooks are in the code.
