I'd like to ask if there is a way to remove the Pin from that post as a switch?
Probably no other way than to edit this line
Code:
.recentNews .messageContent .posted { background: transparent url('@imagePath/xenforo/icons/sticky.png') no-repeat left bottom; padding-left: 20px; }
which resides in EWRporta_Block_RecentNews.css

Does anyone else have the " Set as Index Controller" checked and ends up with forums at /forum/forums?

My forums reside in the folder /forums. The end result is that a particular forum ends up with this url:

http://entropiaplanets.com/forums/forums/about-entropiaplanets.2/

Any thoughts on how I could solve this (I do assume I will need to add redirects when the problem is gone)?

your HOME tab links to http://www.entropiaplanets.com/forums/ .. what, if any, do you want to change that to?

did you install XenForo in your FORUMS folder?

I dont use it because of the same problem

Sooooo... I'm really new to all of this, and recently I installed this mod. I was under the impression that I would then have modules I could mess around with, and/or some way to add/modify them. But all I get is a blank page. Is this how it's supposed to work, or did I screw something up?
I think I've installed everything correctly, but this is what I get on my site

with these options

How do I add modules?
Thanks!

First go to usergroup permissions and set them to allow yourself to administrate the modules. Once you do so, you shall see an "Administrate Modules" link at the top. Click on it and then drag the various modules to various positions of your liking.

Thanks.
I have made sure I was in the Administrative user group, and am trying to edit the Administrative user group permissions, but I do not see any Module permissions. Only thing related to XenPorta I see is [Can Customize Portal], [Can Promote Threads], and [Can Administrate Portal]. These are enabled, but there is no tab at the top for module manipulation.

Are you a member of any usergroup in which these permissions have been set to "Revoke"? If not, have a look again at the portal page. The link should be there. :)

Thanks.

unless you are using the non-xf home tab you wont see a link to module administration.

The Home tab pointing to /forums is fine with me. And yes, XF is installed in /forums. That's where my host way back in time when I started my first forum said it would be best to install VB in, for SEO reasons. So due to all VB stuff residing there, and all my links already pointing there, I basically kept XF in there, too.

I'm perfectly fine with the portal being my front-page (and thus taking the place of /forums/index.php), but the one thing that annoys me is that this automatically brings with it that all my actual forum links end up in yet another /forums subfolder.

vBAdvanced did not do this, and if at all possible, I'd like XenPorta to do the same. My post above mostly was meant to see if it was a misconfig on my end, or whether it's common behaviour. It seems to be the latter.

And unrelated to this, but I also have the bug with a top-image in a post not showing up on the front-page for some reason. Sometimes it does, most of the time it does not initially, and then later on will pop up anyway.

XenPorta does not create a /forums/ subfolder... YOU DID.

All XenPorta does is move the forums from /index to /forum, and puts the /portal at /index.

If you have /forums/forums, its because YOU installed XenFORO (not PORTA) to the /forums/ subfolder. This is native to XenFORO and has nothing to do with XenPORTA.
