I'm still confused at the installation of the modules. You said go to /portal/modules, but for me that just redirects to /portal.

Never mind.

I just intalled myRSSParser and when I try to go to my portal page from the module page it gives me an error:

myRSSParser: Could not open http://terapvp.com/community/forums/news/index.rss for input

The default feed from yahoo provided the same error. I have this exact feed being used in another RSS parser so I know it is working.

I have confirmed myRSSParser folder is 777. I tried deleting the myRSSParser.txt file and another one was not created. The only thing I cannot confirm is whether or not my fUrl option is on. How can I check this value? I don't see a php.ini file. Based on something I found on the internet I added the following to my .htaccess file located within my /community directory: php_value allow_url_fopen On

Jaxel or Calorie, I have added Brogan's RSS News feed to a module and it works well. I would like to uninstall myRSSParser. I tried pressing [Delete] on the module screen next to it, nothing happened. I tried refreshing, still nothing. How do I remove it?

Can you copy a module? I want to have more then one recentnews module. Is this possible and can you explain how to do it?

Just a thought - do not know if it is true - but I would try this by my hand in the following way:

Ftp to your webserver - navigate to / library / EWRporta / XML - download xml file RecentNews.xml.

Rename it now for example to RecentNews2.xml or something similar - in addition, you should probably also change <module_name> RecentNews </ module_name> to something else in the xml file, so this does not create conflict with existing module, when you upload it again.

Now import that modified modules - and give it a shot.

Have not tested it and are not a programmer - but it's a suggestion for a solution.

Is it a knows issue that the "Recent Threads" also shows threads to registered users from forums that registered users are not allowed to see?
 
Anyone having issues with the twitter module not displaying anything and still pointing to 8wayrun conversations?
 
look in the twitter.xml file for XenPorta... 8wayrun is hardcoded as search criteria for when you log into twitter. found in two places
