no, i know there are various workarounds (e.g. editing the thread title, the one above, etc.), but that's not what i'm after, thanks..

as i say i just don't want the post code to be automatically inserted into the thread subject, and was wondering if jaxel could possible make that an option in a future update? in fact, the ability to completely customise the thread subject would be great (e.g. some people might not want the date in square brackets, some might want other info. to be inserted, etc.) :)
I think you mis-understood what I said in the last post.
When creating an event you dont have to enter a zip code to create it. I just tested what I said earlier and it works. Fill out all the details for the event, including zip code, refresh map to get your map, remove the zip code and THEN create/save the event, it will still show the map but no zip code in the title

no, i understood perfectly.. i will recommend the above to my users as a workaround, as previously stated, but as i say i was just wondering if jaxel could possible make that an option in a future update? in fact, the ability to completely customise the thread subject would be great (e.g. some people might not want the date in square brackets, some might want other info. to be inserted, etc.) :)

On the upcoming events link, is it suppose to only show the first 3 events of that day or am I doing something wrong? If I switch to monthly view I can see all of them.

(using 1.4.2)

Hi, I got the following error when I clicked on a date
Code:
Server Error

Undefined offset: 1

XenForo_Application::handlePhpError() in EWRatendo/ControllerPublic/Events/Weekly.php at line 11
EWRatendo_ControllerPublic_Events_Weekly->actionIndex() in XenForo/FrontController.php at line 310
XenForo_FrontController->dispatch() in XenForo/FrontController.php at line 132
XenForo_FrontController->run() in /var/www/vhosts/mywebsite.info/httpdocs/xenforo/index.php at line 13

Request state:
PHP:
array(3) {
["url"] => string(51) "[URL]http://mywebsite.info/community/events/weekly/2011/[/URL]"
["_GET"] => array(0) {
}
["_POST"] => array(0) {
}
}

I skim through 48 pages but could not find the answer. My problem is probably similar to this post: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/8wayrun-com-xenatendo-events.8670/page-41#post-244954.

Thanks

You can set an option in the control panel for upcoming events using X amount of days

I'm about to make a donation. Can someone tell me how do I change the format of the title of the newly created event? I'd like to have it as follows -

Event Name - Venue - Date

'Im about to make a donation' LOL

You can edit the thread manually, I dont know how to hard code this

I have asked this, as have others earlier in the thread, so hopefully Jaxel will make it an option/configurable in an update. :)

I like this addon. I just added Request State if it helps to solve the issue. I am going to remove the monthly view tab and switch default calendar view to weekly view for now. I will purchase branding removal after the above is fixed.

The problem is bigger than i thought. I upgraded xenforo and xenatendo to the latest versions. The option is set to 7 days but that's only valid in the forum view i think.

Have a look at this.

Calendar view:

Upcoming events view:

It does not show all the events in the upcoming view. Can you check if the same happens on your side?

Thanks!

Hmm thats weird, does work for me. Maybe try setting it to 8 or 9 days until you get the right view? I only have a few events at a time so its hard for me to test, but as far as I can tell it works fine for me

It doesn't make any difference to the upcoming events view. In the forum view it will show x amount of days. I noticed it doesn't show all the events in the forum view either. Also, there are 6 events on NYE but it only shows 2 in the calendar and upcoming events view. I cant figure out why.

I think the upcoming events view cant be changed. In the forums what do you mean? Do you mean in the portal using the upcoming events mod? If so you will need to set the block settings to what you want as those are different settings to XenAtendo.

Is your Upcoming Days Cutoff option set to 7 days?

Whats your website?

My forum is locked down so i've sent you a PM with logon details ;)

Edit: Thanks for the help ddmmh! Unfortunately the problem persists.

Jaxel, when you have time would you mind helping me figure it out? My forum is fairly big and active so it will be a good testing ground.

Thanks :)

I hope this is supported. I wish to -

1. Remove the copyright. Donated $50.
2. Remove the 'Events' tab from the navigation manager
3. Change the thread title format to < Event Name > - < Venue > - <Date>

Can someone guide?

I've been trying to look at the code but not sure where exactly to look. Any pointers would be highly appreciated.

You can donate all the money you have and it won't change anything as far as licensing/support/upgrades. Donations are just that and Jaxel doesn't appear to feel the need to offer/do anything more than what you get in this thread. So... donate if you feel it's worth the donation, but don't expect ANYTHING for it. =)

It would seem that many people want to be able to format the thread title to their specifications, or remove the redundant postcode at least (see all above posts). Is anyone able to at least point us in the right direction of what code to modify, in Jaxel's absence?

Thanks. :)
