This is the next minor release of Ad Server, that implements new option for Zones to enable/disable the placeholder for it. When enabled, a placeholder is created in the page before the ad is loaded, preventing page jumping in some cases. However, in some locations a placeholder causes layout changes, that is why now the option is disable by default.

This is the next upgrade to XenCentral Ad Server, which largely optimizes it for pages, which display multiple ads. Previously each ad was loaded by a separate request. Now a single request will load all ads to be displayed. This will largely decrease server load and increase ad loading speed.

"nofollow" attribute is added to the script tag preventing search engines to index the ads.

Zone height attribute set in Edit Zone page will now be used as container minimal height, preventing page jumping when the ad loads before page content.

Hello everyone,

This is the next update of XenCentral Ad Server, mainly implementing notifications for admins and users on several events - upload of new banners, banner approval, expiration etc. The notifications are sent via Email or Alerts, configurable for each notification type in Admin Panel.

The version also includes a fix for the cases, when a zone displays banners in several positions of the same page, and in some cases the same banners were displayed due to random rotation. Now it will choose different banners for each physical location.

From this version on it is also allowed to upload 3 images for each banner, allowing a user to have only a single banner but different images, and one of them is chosen randomly each time the banner is displayed.

This is the next release of XenCentral Ad Server with the following enhancements/fixes:

1. New field is added for Tablet banner code. Now different banner code can be used for mobile, for tablet and for the remaining devices.

2. Added new permission to show/hide embed button from different usergroups. The permission is No by default, so make sure to check your usergroup setup and allow appropriate usergroups to see the Embed button.

3. Fixed IPv6 handling for stats.

Hello everyone,

This is the next release of XenCentral Ad Server that addresses an issue with file-based cache using too many files and hitting server inode limits. The issue was mainly connected with Capping support (maximum number of times per day to display an ad), which was using too many cache files. We have rewritten this feature to use only one cache file on server side and store information for all users in that one.

XenCentral Framework is updated as well and now it includes a script in "do not upload" directory, which, if uploaded to server root and ran, will delete all files from file-based cache directory. If you are using file-based cache (if you are not aware about XCache/APC then most likely you use file-based cache), then it is recommended to run this file to make sure all old files are deleted. Please note, that file is needed only if you are on a shared hosting and don't have direct command line access via SSH. If so, simply remove internal_data/xcfw_cache directory using command line. Make sure to remove script after the files are deleted for security reasons.
Framework now will run auto-cleanup of cache each 30 minutes. You can adjust this for your board editing Admin -> Tools -> Cron Entries -> Clear XenCentral Cache entry.
