[UW] Node Icons 1.2.0

[UW] Node Icons lets you give any forum node its own, custom icon with two states that swap automatically: a muted gray (or whatever color you want) icon when the forum has no unread content, and a full-colour icon the moment there's something new for that visitor to read. You can use any color or image as you want.

The result is a forum list that communicates at a glance — members can see which areas have fresh activity without scanning a single title.

Everything is managed from one Admin CP page (Forums → Node icons): choose a node, upload its read and unread icons, and fine-tune the spacing around each one with simple padding controls.


Auto duotone read icons

• Auto duotone mode — per node, choose Upload manually (as before) or Auto: duotone from unread icon. The read icon is generated on the server as a PNG, with transparency fully preserved.
• Your colors, not just gray — pick the duotone Shadows and Highlights colors board-wide, with one-click preset swatches (grayscale, blue, teal, coral, purple, pink, amber), or override the colors per node.
• White background rescue — an optional setting treats near-white backgrounds as transparent, for icons that were saved without an alpha channel.
• Instant re-theming — change the global colors and every auto node is re-generated on save.

Pick a node, upload only the unread icon and choose "Auto: duotone from unread icon", it will automatically generate the read icon:
