How to use:
  1. Because this add-on uses a large amount of resources, if deleting a large number of posts I suggest you close the forum.
  2. Enter "deleteposts" after the root portion of your forum URL:

    Examples:
    Code:
    Full Friendly URLs
    http://www.domain.com/deleteposts/
    http://www.domain.com/forums/deleteposts/

    non-Full Friendly URLs
    http://www.domain.com/index.php?/deleteposts/
    http://www.domain.com/index.php?/forums/deleteposts/

  3. Enter Username and Limit number then click Search. The "Limit" field is required and is used to prevent the server from reporting an error if too many posts are deleted at one time. Typically the Limit maximum needs to be between 200 to 5,000 depending on your server.
  4. Once the Delete Posts Confirm page is verified and you're sure you want to delete the users posts, click the Delete Posts link.
Questions and Answers:

Q: I get the the following error message "The requested forum could not be found", what does this mean?

A: This indicates a problem with finding the particular thread or post. Change the limit to 1 and click the Delete Posts link. You will see which thread or post cannot be found.

Thank you! Very useful add-on. Works well on forum version 1.5.18.
Could you implement the automatic addition of a link to the search?
This is awesome! I could have really used it before when I had to delete an offensive user. But I'm sure it will come in handy later! Thanks!
This addon is a godsend. Thank you! Thank you very very very very much! Now if we could just have a better way to keep these spammers off the forums.

If you need something like this, do not hesitate this addon is great!
Excellent add-on. This ability should be in core, but absent that, we have this fine author to thank for his work. (Why is there a character requirement for reviews?)
Great, thank you very much.
Excellent treatment of this sir.
Friendly treatment and assistance in problem quickly and professionally.
Thanks for your time Mr. Andy.
Nice!
Does exactly what Andy advertises. Like all of Andy's add-ons this is a slick, efficient, laser-focused tool that uses the equivalent of a gnat's eyebrow in resources. I always donate to his add-ons because we need more coders like him, and I ask that anyone who uses it to please do the same. He deserves it - there is no better support anywhere.
