XF 2.0 Youtube just showing link and not video?

I thought without an addon that just by pasting a Youtube URL it will auto turn into a video but its not doing that? Is there a new setting?

Yes there is a setting, but it should be on by default



See in ACP Setup > Options or search "embed"

Or, where you are posting, click the arrow to the right of the smiley for a drop down menu
choose: Media and paste the video url into the pop up

By default it should be working, no add-on needed.

Try saving the YouTube BB code media site.

Admin CP -> Content -> BB code media sites -> YouTube

Did you have a third party add-on installed related to media sites?

If so, and you have uninstalled it, it likely removed some of the default sites.

Perform a master rebuild and they should be recreated.

if you used s9e on xf1.x, upgrade to the release for xf2. uninstalling older plugin and master rebuild should fix it as well.
