You can edit text in options so you can link Img to entry url
But I'm asking for it to be automatic. I don't want to have to edit the link for every picture in the thread.
Can it be changed so that it fits the size of the text?

Is there a guide for this? I couldn't work out the demo. And if cannot, then my users cannot, making its usage very minimal.

- Display box for contest rules is ugly (text is extremely light, almost illegible, too large with lots of wasted space)
- Cannot see any way (how or where) to make a submission/entry for the contest I created. (Edit: I see, contest permissions all defaulted to unticked. Silly!)
- Appears new threads are created in the configured forum for every action. Yikes! One thread for creation, with the same thread used for submissions/votes/winners. All submitters and voters automatically subscribed/watching the (thread or contest) for notification of updates, submissions, and winners etc.
- Is it optional to have the navigation link?
- Have sub-nav items for 'Competitions I Entered' and 'Competitions I Voted'
- Can the order of sidebar gadgets be changed? I would want 'Latest ...' above 'Top ...'
- Having a sitewide sidebar widget is essential, promoting active competitions and submissions. Need to bring users from other areas of the site (forum resources, other add-ons) into Contests. Sidebar randomly displays xx submissions across all open contests allowing votes right there and then. When voted, the image disappears and is replaced with 'Click here to see more entries in this contest'. If no contests open for likes, then randomly rotates through submissions. If not active contests, randomly rotates between prior closed contests.
- Does recurring contests create a new contest (copied from previous) for each new occurrence, or just reset/re-open the existing contest?
- Usergroup A (Admin) can create new contests, and Usergroup M (Moderators) can only create new contests copied from prior contest(s). ie. manual repeats, not new from scratch.
- Can you copy an existing contest as the template for creating a new contest? i.e. manual occurrence, instead of automated occurrence
- Why does it show 'thumbnail' and 'full image' for insertion after uploading? Thumbnail and full image insertion into what?
- Are only image uploads accepted? Can they not be URL's to hosted photos?
- A contest entry/submission is displayed with 'Edit' 'Delete' 'Like' below it. Why show like if you do not have permissions to like, and/or likes are not yet open
- Are all contest entry submitters automatically notified when the contest opens for likes?
- Contest listings need a 'call to action' button titled 'discuss' that links to the created threads, so that users can discuss the contest/entries
- Contest listings, on the right hand side, shows stats for both 'Contributors' and 'Entries' - what's the difference?
- Can the Contests URL be changed from /medias-contest/ ? I would want /contests/ or /photo-contests/ etc.

Agreed. Not should, but MUST. As it stands now, showing them in submission order puts far too much weighting on having submitted first/early and will drastically skew voting results.

Agreed. And inside contests and contest entries, the sidebar on the right is moved to the left (for consistency of sidebar location across the whole add-on).

The main navigation. Perhaps I want users to access contests via the forum thread(s) created only.
Highly confusing to users, thinking they have to insert the uploaded image into the submission.

Why are only the first 4 entries shown until paging functionality kicks-in?
For example, http://www.xen-factory.com/index.php?medias-contest/contest/blah.16/view
Plenty of space below the 4 entries (due to the sidebar greatly extending page height) to put more entries without needing paging functionality.

What you do not understand?
Entry Informations: You have creation date of the entry, number of picture in entry, picture type (Picture Or Album) and number of vote
Contributor informations: You have Avatar from the submitter of entry and his username
This is an option that you can configure. I just change the demo to put 8 entries per page

OK, think I understand now. So this contest has 7 entries from 2 users. Think I'd change the phrase from 'Contributors' to 'Users' or 'Entrants'

@XFA Can you clear up an issue for me please.
I created a demo competition and set the submission time to 20 days. I then set the vote period to 5 days.
Does this vote period start after the submission period has finished. If so something is wrong as it let me vote from the start of the competition.
It would seem sensible that if the vote period had not started yet then the "Like" button would not be visible.

The voting period begins when the submission period is finished (except where you mix the two periods via checkbox).
To like link, suggest have been made above.
By cons normally if we are not in the voting period, it should appear a permissions error

@Fredxd Ok I understand all that.
I have created a test competition on your test area and I did not select the "merge submission & voting" but now the competition is live.
When you click the "Like" button it is already adding a vote to the competition, even though the voting should not have started yet.

I would want the voters to be anonymous.
I appreciate you must be busy with other things but do you have any idea when you will be able to put some time into this add-on. I run a photography forum and this software would be brilliant for our competitions but as it stands now we could not use it.

For displaying voter I can make an option for hide or show voters
For anonymous voter I don't know if I can do this
And for ETA I can't give you sorry.
it really depends on the work I have in progress and other addons that I should update as well.
