I have a quick question - I have this installed on my forum but I have changed all the instances of "Media of The Month" to "Image of The Month" as that is what we have on my forum.

I have now seen that some of the cron entries are not running correctly.

Could this be because I have changed everything and the cron callback is not finding the correct name etc ??

Hello,
I have an issue with the number of days for submission. The contest submission phase ended 1 day before the day I expected. I tried to change the number of days and re-run the cron but it did not change anything. I had to change in the database the status "xfa_motm" to 0 to allow users to submit their media. (crucial for the last day !!)
Could you explain me precisely how the cron works and how the field "days_submit" and "days_vote" are taken into account, so that I will be able to launch correctly the vote phase ?

Hello,

It is based on the cron run.

Meaning that it's a number of day from the creation date of the album.
At that time, the configuration is stored in db, hence why you couldn't get it to change.

I changed this morning the status of the album back to 1 (motm) and re-run the cron and the vote phase was launched correctly.

Hello,
I had to change a vote manually in the database (a user who voted for a media by mistake and wanted to change its vote). Is there a cache to rebuild to update the vote counter ?
It made me thinking that it would be great for users to see for which media they voted and optionnaly be able to change their vote (same system than facebook like / unlike).

The vote counter is the field xfa_motm_votes in the xengallery_media table of the database.

In the xengallery_album table you don't have that field ?

It would need to be removed for the error to go away.

I have the old Themescorp version can I buy this and install over the top as an upgrade?

If not, is there a way I can uninstall the old version and install this one fresh but keep the integrity/history of the past comps and albums?

Hello,

We do provide an upgrade script but it was based on the earlier version of the XFA add-on, not sure it would work properly on the latest one.

But solution could be to first use the first XFA version along with our upgrade script and then upgrade to the latest XFA version.
