As far as I know, xenforo has completely removed jquery support. How will the addon that will work within Xenforo work with jquery? Correct me if I'm wrong.

2.3 ships with a slimmed down version of jQuery due to some addon authors going down the path of just shipping jquery themselves with their addon, which is smart as if you installed 4 addons each with their own jQuery bundle you'd have 4 different instances of jQuery all being used and being sent to the end user.

Sir, if that were the case, an addon writer like @Jaxel would have already upgraded xenporta to xenforo2.3 version. Migrated all addons to xenforo2.3. Why is he still struggling with xenporta?

A slimmed down version does not include everything from a library. You can see the link I edited in my post for more information.

No. He's right. That's what I did for XenCarta's jQuery. But even with the slimmed down jQuery, some things still need to be rewritten.

There are significant changes to the JavaScript functions of this addon. Please inform me of any issues. Unfortunately, I was not able to use XF2.3's built in "slim" version of jQuery. As such, when using the infinite-scroller or feature-slider functions, a full build of jQuery will be loaded.

Anyway I went ahead and toyed with it and the only solution that worked for me was to to choose custom excerpt. I deleted a few lines from the excerpt and it worked. I don't understand even though I have all articles set to 500 words options this specific article was a tad larger.

Just an update. It's still randomly doing it and it'll take excerpts from different paragraphs and show as opposed to the first 500 characters. It's doing on the default xenforo style too.
