This is mostly all semantics but the core design hasn’t been changed. We got slowed down by some backend changes we needed to make. But on the whole work has been ongoing in the implementation.

This will be awesome.

Too soon IMO... I’m not even on 2.3 yet waiting for addons. I can just imagine those developers facepalming.

I don’t think you’ve fully read the thread, particularly about focusing on backwards compatibility.

Maybe we didn’t emphasise that enough. But as I said elsewhere, 2.3 and 2.4 compatibility is aiming to be the same.
