In XF 1.x.x we have built-in functions to do some operations with properties you'd expect only to be in CSS templates. For example: {xen:helper rgba ''}. It converts a color to an RGBA format. You can invoke these functions in any template.
With XF 2 we get LESS, which has a lot of similar functions with a broader functionality. Most importantly: color operations. But it has been stated that you can't invoke these functions outside of .less templates in XF 2 right now.
If we get these functions working in regular templates it would provide us with actually dynamically generated CSS. Also, this example may see the light of the day, since it requires dynamic CSS, that is generated for each user individually.
