XF 2.3 ?

And just like that, a promise to release 2.3 in 2022 was casually broken without so much as a word, and then a sarcastic comment taking the micky out of your customers by our Chris. Sorry mate, but that wasn't very nice.

EDIT: not so bad. See clarification from Chris below.

While we're all talking about 2.3, I'd love to know what a 3.0 version would look like. It's likely so far in the future, that I reckon it would look significantly different and no one knows what it would look like, developers included.

Really? Calling staff autistic because they didn’t detail the features of a new release or get it out on time?

With this kind of response I’d be inclined to not say anything at all to any customers.

That's what they're doing right now, they didn't wait for that kind of feedback.
If you are happy with their communication, good for you.
 
I guess I'm the only one that likes it the way it is.
I spent a lot of time modifying want I wanted to change and I am quite happy seeing Xenforo keep some consistency.

The idea of a major change rattles my cage a bit because I have so many hours into mods and addons that I much rather have the smaller incremental changes.

maybe you can shed some light new deadlines or new details of what we should expect from the new version? as a compensation so to speak.

I need to know this very important to understand whether to start development on the old version or to wait for a new one. i personally am waiting for custom fields (probably for nothing). time goes by and i begin to doubt that there is the point of waiting (even though i do not even know what exactly), but its all does not depend on me.

fantastic situation as for me - no idea what to wait for, no deadline, customers waiting for a miracle, developers who making fun of it
