XF 2.0 XF 2.0 - Ready for primetime?

Hey guys, I've got a number of VB forums and a single XF 1 forum... I've been waiting to upgrade each to XF 2.0 until the new version is stable and ready to go... In your opinion, is it time yet? I should note that all of these forums are pretty large and very active.

My old VB forums are getting awfully long in the tooth!

Really depends on the sort of functionality you need, that's all it comes down to. Not as many plugins for XF2 since it's newer but XF2 itself works wonders out of the box.

It's a full release version, so yes, that means in their opinion it is ready for use in a normal production environment.

The better question is probably: does your XF1 forum use any addons? And, if so, have they been ported to XF2 yet.

The import system, especially for vB installs is much more stable now. That was initially a concern because all of the importer code was new, and it was all very untested, but there's now been many successful imports from vB 3/4/5 to XF2. Obviously doesn't mean you shouldn't test things first before importing, but we wouldn't expect you to hit many snags.

I have been watching XF 2.0 for awhile now, they have made massive improvements. Even though I am on a competitors software at the moment I wouldn't have a problem running my site on it. The only thing that I would like to see is a direct importer straight to 2.0. I would say go for it!(y)

I guess it’s time.

This might be the wrong place, but I need someone to lead the migration for me from VB 3-series to XF2. Is there a go to guy for such work?
