It's their national average hourly rate (http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/11/19/reasons-love-costco_n_4275774.html). Costco is usually rated pretty high in employee satisfaction.

Madness, if that's the case nobody should have a job that "doesn't pay well" people should be kicking doors down to work an extremely low stress job for $20 an hour

Supply & demand; the supply of positions available that pay well, even for retail, is far below the demand.

That's also not entry level positions. Granted they probably aren't high stress positions but they also aren't likely the bag boys either.

For Costco, their entry levels positions start around $11-12 and will hit the average after a few years.

It's true the lack of news is annoying but, since @Jaxel works this way since a long time (if I'm right?) I don't feel like he's trying to steal that money and I'm sure he's not. He promised that heavy donators would be granted an access to a beta forum. This forum isn't ready at the moment so I guess nothing is ready yet to give us proper news =D

He logs in frequently and basically gives a big middle finger to this thread. Who knows what he is doing. He may very well be hard at work on it. If that is the case, it blows my mind why he keeps ignoring the people that gave him money, for which he has now in his possession.
But, again, his communication skills have always been horrid. I guess $5,000+ doesn't change that for him.

Well he did say he will be out of town for a while and my guess is his Internet access is very intermittent

Two separate but large crowd funded projects going on here at the moment and the two threads couldn't be any more polar opposites. what made that crowd fund a healthy happy process is exactly what this one needs.. A little communication from the developer.. I'm beginning to feel like we payed the developer to build a portal that fits the developers needs 100% with little no consideration given to the needs of the investors/contributors..

See, this is the thing that gets me (and I'm sure I'll be seeing the pitchforks and torches headed my way for saying this) but there was a strong likelihood that this portal was going to be built regardless because he wants it for his own site, so to me it just feels like he saw an opportunity for a money grab for something he was going to build (and likely release) anyway.
