XenForo + Wordpress?

Hi there,

I run a classifieds theme on wordpress. Users sign up and then use their accounts to post ad listings.

I want to install a forum on my site that can use the same user database as wordpress. I searched on Google and found a XenForo+Wordpress bridge but that's not going to work with my theme.

I need it so that my Wordpress theme does ALL of the registration and logging in.

Is this possible right now?

I hope in any new plugin, they allow Wordpress to handle the login/registration and XenForo as the secondary feature.

My theme REQUIRES registration and login to be done by Wordpress. I am sure many themes require the same.

I agree. Make wordpress be in control and Xenforo be an "add-on". Sync usernames and registration.

This option would also allow over 23,000 wordpress membership sites who use Wishlist Member at http://member.wishlistproducts.com/ to run Xenforo as a forum add-on to their site. Right now, there is NO forum option for Wordpress and the market is very hungry for a product/bridge that unites the two. I would be willing to pay for a plugin that does this seamlessly and many THOUSANDS of other Wordpress site users would as well. This feature alone in Xenforo would have a HUGE impact on sales for Xenforo.
Did you find a solution for a wordpress forum solution. I want a forum right now, and I'm not sure who to go with. I would seem strange for folks to login in to my wordpress, make comments to posts, then have to login again at a forum.

Thus far, all the solutions like xenscripts.com 's XF WP bridge use Xenforo to handle the membership / logging in. If all you want users to do in Wordpress is to comment on articles .... that should be fine. Some Wordpress addons won't work with xenscripts or xfrocks bridges. Most will.

I'd say the best hope so far is to convince Jaime @ xenscripts.com to code it. Register at the site and let him know you want it (like so many others do).

No, still have not found a solution. Developers here simply do not see or realize the power of this (Wordpress to Xenforo integration). They're thinking too "forum-centric" and not see the broader opportunity here. Whoever comes up with this solution will surely sell thousands.

Are there any plans to allow a wordpress to handle all the registration/login?

It'd open up the door to many Wordpress users.

I have the same problem, see my thread here:

I think it's silly using XenForo to handle registration, since WordPress is a CMS and XenForo is just a forum. It makes more sense to allow a CMS to handle registration than a forum, though I guess using the forum is easier.
