XenForo + WordPress + Xpress = ?

Hey all..

I could use some clarification. I'm building a WordPress site and I want to include a XenForo forum on it. From what I've been reading here, it's possible to make them work together as one cohesive experience for my end-users.. But where I'm not totally clear is how the XenForo will be hosted. Where does it live? On my GoDaddy server, or is it being hosted by XenForo? I understand that I'll need Xpress to marry them together... but what would be the next step in terms of the XenForo install if I were to purchase it right now. Where does it go?

Both have to be installed on same server
One will be on the root directory, either xenforo or WordPress and the other will be on subdirectory. It goes like this
https://example.com
https:// example.com/blog

As I said the root directory could serve XF or WP its really your choice.

Xpress will work as a bridge. Users can interact on both installations. Articles/thread can be shared or featured from one installation to the other. It is permission based so you can adjust that as you like.

Good luck
Since your question is mainly about how to integrate wordpress and xenforo, your question may be better asked with the xpress presales folks to get the best answer.

Xenforo is not unlike wordpress, it's a php web application so you install xenforo just like you would wordpress. You can install one at one server and install the other on another server. However, I assume all such integration plugins require both to be installed on the same server (or account for shared hosting) since I presume the plugins need to be able to directly access the files on disk.
