XenForo is more active than vBulletin

Ahhhh, if only I were King. ;)

LOL.

I still hope things improve over there. I am sure XF will be a massive success but I don't want to see vB die. As a forum owner having three "market leaders" in the paid market, all being innovative and on top of their game, would be perfect.

Steve I wish they'd put you in charge of communication over there, you'd do a far better job I am certain.
How about Steve becoming a team member here just like in good old days. Screw IB, man. "No more corporate crap" is priceless. For everything else there is MasterCard.:)

I think Steve would certainly require an equivalent salary and I doubt there's any money in the budget to do that just yet.

Run before they walk....

I've actually noticed vBulletin activity when down quite a lot the last couple of months. I started it comparing it with IPB (which has never been too much, but kept steady), and vB one of those days actually removed how many active users they had, once I saw that, I really got into my head that vB is just going down.

That's it I'm going to write a spider to plot growth and activity !

haha cool, actually would be nice to have some some of stat/chart in backend to plot users online, regos per day, post per day and be able to turn each metric on/off from public display - some large forums or with niche advertising markets might want to show off those numbers :)

Probably that's what's keeping Steve Machol and Wayne Luke from joining XenForo at the moment. No doubt XenForo'll grow to become a biggie. They'll have to add more people to the team.

I am pretty sure Steve got tired of having his announcements edited by Adrian for typos. :p
I also miss adages by Wayne like "Get off your high horse" and by some user who replied to Wayne in another thread "Get off the high tree you are sitting on". :D

It's so funny, do a mark forum read on vbulletin and xenforo at the same time and watch the activity, xenfor wins everytime ;)

Yes, I'm bored.....

I think vB 4 wasn't as well received by the community as hoped, causing a lot of former customers to move to either IPB or another solution.

I think the right statement is: (I think vB 4 wasn't as well delivered by the community as hoped, causing a lot of former customers to move to either IPB or another solution.) ;)

The atmosphere here reminds me of the way vBulletin was four years when I first landed there - fierce customer loyalty, and plenty of helpful people around 24/7. A little bit cliquish (in both cases) but it's a friendly, well-meaning clique. :)
