XF 1.4 Xenforo Directory & URL different?

I couldn't figure out how to properly name this, but what I'm looking to do is move the Install directory out of the /forums directory yet still have the forum access able by going to mydomain.com/forums.

A great example of this is Wordpress, I have a wordpress site setup where the Wordpress Files are in /dev/wordpress/ yet going to mydomain.com brings you to the wordpress site, and the URL is simply mydomain.com not mydomain.com/dev/wordpress ECT.

Is there any way to do this with Xenforo?

Any configuration to do that would be a level above XenForo -- at the web server level. You would do something like directory aliasing, though note that you may need to customize the .htaccess to suit then.
