This should solve your issue.
After adding this to my.cnf you should restart MySQL server.

or have i to do mandatory first 2.1.9 and then 2.1.10?

You can update from xenforo 1.1.1 to xenforo2.1.10 patch 2. just Update.
My suggestion is to make a backup of site files and mysql first.

2.1.9 was just a fix for a Paypal issue that they had to fix quickly. 2.1.10 includes it along with a raft of other fixes. As @bebekforum said, Xenforo pretty much allows you to upgrade to any version from any version, with the proviso that jumping across major versions (e.g. 1.x to 2.x) may require fixing or replacing styles and add-ons (as 1.x to 2.x did).

You comment out the line in the src/config.php file, upgrade, then in-comment our the line.

I hope this is not your live site.

i have only those 2 line, below the username /dbname/port/host lines:

$config['enableAddOnArchiveInstaller'] = true;
$config['fullUnicode'] = true;

yes it is live site.... why?

Well you shouldn’t have your live site in development mode.

Somewhere in your config file you have this, $config['development']['enabled'] = true; or you have an addon enabling development mode.

Unless you're a developer, developing on a development installation, development mode should not be enabled.

Ok, this file was modified by fahad ashraf. that make one addon for me.
it is up like that since +one month in the live site.
can i disable it... or something crack in my live site?
