there is this which seems supported.
the problem is that it adds three links in your footer. branding free costs Euro 25 but it's discounted to 17.5 right now.

What scenario do you need it for? Since XenForo's unfurl system, the addon is no longer useful.

spammers mostly use inline links. and those are the ones that are harder to verify on first look! favicon for links has saved me a lot of time as i can quickly identify links to popular sites. and also reveal hidden links on dots and commas. definitely miss this one on 2.3!

I run a domaining forum and we post hundreds of links to domain names, the unfurl does not work because it clutters up a page.
The addon puts a nice little favicon and the name of the site, making it very clean when you have numerous links posted in an article.

hehe. the implementation of this addon has created a weird situation on my browser. i use an extension that loads the image on links on hover (hoverzoom). this addon seems to use background image on links for favicons it seems. so all links on hover now show an image. though it's not the favicon itself but a generic image.
just posting here in case, dev might have a workaround for this.

That may be a chrome thing too
I noticed when I bookmark a link to my own business website to the bookmark bar it will show the favicon.
However when you load the page and go to edit the bookmark it NOW shows a generic image from the page. I annoys me so much especially because the image changes at random and its not what I want my customers to see.
Your issue may be related to that.... not sure though.

the generic image isn't the problem. i cannot even say there is any problem because it is being caused by a browser addon that is fetching the background image on link source code as an image from where the link points to. i am not sure how this addon is adding favicons to links as compared to the [rellect] version which did not have this behavior. just posted it here as a fyi. i cannot expect the developer of this addon to change the way favicon is added to links just because a browser extension is behaving weirdly with it lol.
another issue is that the link shifts to the right on every page load as the favicon appears after page load. screen recording here. this behavior is not cached so is visible on every load. this is also something i do not remember happening with rellect though i could be wrong. not sure if this loading can be cached or space on the left of links could be included at the time of page load. so that there is no shifting around. just another fyi for the dev!

No, it has nothing to do with your addon, its how chrome handles bookmarks now, I was just giving a comparison.
