Can this be used on only certain upgrade packages? I have your paid registration add-on with monthly and yearly tiers. I want to offer a coupon for the yearly tier only.
 
When I tried to use this with stripe, it still says purchase then goes to stripe directly. I don't see a place to enter the coupon? This is for xenforo 2.3.6

Yes, this is what I'm wondering is how it integrates with Stripe, which on Xenforo, does not allow for couponing or promotion codes, even if your Stripe interface allows them with the upgrades.

In short, a direct payment link to Stripe for a forum upgrade allows promotional coupons.
A payment link through Xenforo with Stripe as the payment provider does not.
 
Is it possible to limit to use one time per account? If i wanted a one time use coupon, what's the best way to do this?

The global limit allows the same user to reuse the coupon on other upgrades (or after completion of upgrade with an already used coupon) as long as the limit is not exceeded.

I've added a per-user limit in the new update.
 
It would be really interesting if we could automatically e-mail coupons to members with expired account upgrades. i.e. send a discount coupon to users X days after their account upgrade expired. This would generate income.

Agreed! +1 for this idea.
 
@Painbaker : Does the addon support making the coupons useable on only particular Payment profiles?
E.g. create a Coupon for users selecting the PayPal payment profile (to reward those paying this way), rather than via e.g. Stripe?
 
Will this work @Painbaker with your paid registration add-on I purchased from you if I don't have a free tier, like can this be used when they register to offer a discount for registering or would being a member first be required?
 
Painbaker updated [XB] User Upgrade Coupons with a new update entry:

  • Added option to filter applicable payment profiles for coupon
  • Added option to automatically send discount coupons via e-mail to members whose account upgrades have expired
  • Made coupon input field visible only after clicking the "Have a coupon?" button (optional)
  • Added option to disable free checkout for user upgrades with coupon that covers the entire cost
  • Uppercase coupon code & replace -_ symbols
