I love the idea of this addon.
I would change the default sort order of our classifieds to by first post (so that replying does not bump) and set all free bumps to once per day, thereby removing the burden of moderators to monitor and deal with excessive bumping. I would then charge for auto bumps, but make them free for patreon supporters and top level members, creating nice incentives.

  1. The biggest problem I can anticipate is that members who have paid for auto bumping will complain or demand a refund if their threads are moderated. What would be needed is explicit terms (non-negotiable) stating that purchasing auto bumping does not override the forum rules or moderation - with a checkbox to confirm this. Is there scope to do this?
  2. Also auto bumping would need to be paused if a thread is locked by a moderator.
  3. Since auto bumping is tied to a specific thread, can the user see the status somewhere?
  4. Also there is no automatic renewal of auto bumping, is there? I probably wouldn't want there to be for this use.
  5. Lastly, when our classifieds are finished, they are archived out of the active classifieds forums in to the archive forum. Bumping would need to stop at that point. Is auto bumping available in specific forums only?
thanks

That shouldn't be a problem to add this.

Currently, there are no auto-bump pauses . I'll add that.

Currently users can only see an icon indicating that the thread was last updated at the specified time

Recurring payments is also supported

Autobumps are currently running on all nodes until they end or are manually deleted
I will add an option to disable autobumps on selected nodes

Amazing. I would probably suggest that auto bumping be enabled in specific forums rather than disabled. I would suggest that auto bumping is not something admins would use in normal discussion forums. But in specific cases like our classifieds, where first page visibility is particularly desirable, auto bumping is particularly valuable.

Feature request (not sure if it is ontopic but okay).

The ability to put a closed thread at the bottom of the page (so like some sort of "bump down")
