XF 1.5 www showing in address bar

I have a forum I transferred from vBulletin to XF and have noticed my address bar shows http://www.mydomain.com even though my XF settings show my board URL as http://mydomain.com

I've also checked my .htaccess file which is nothing more than the default htaccess file XF ships with now. That said prior to the conversion the vBulletin setup did have a htaccess entry to force the WWW, but like I say that htaccess has been over written.

Where else might cause this WWW to appear now?

That will ensure that any "www" links get automatically redirected.
