Word stemming issue?

Enable stemming for language:

Word stemming can improve searching by allowing multiple forms of a word to match. For example, a search for "test" would equally match "tests", "testing", "tested", and so on.

I noticed with word stemming off, it still stems. Is this normal behavior?

Example: Search for car, get car and cargo

I don't think "cargo" meets the criteria for word stemming for "car".

Valid word-stemming for "car" would be carring, carred, cars, etc.

cars is also coming up. Just checked.

I just used the XF example of using the word test and tested, testing, and tests all came up.

So by definition, it is stemming when None is selected.

I should probably post this in bugs but I'll wait to see if anyone has an answer.

Toggle setting, rebuild index, results = same.

Either bug in the XF setting, or in ES.
