[WMTech] User Blocking System

[WMTech] User Blocking System [Paid] 1.0.3

No permission to buy ($39.00)
Quick question: Is there a way for Administrators or Moderators to see with a single click in the ACP which users are blocking which other users? And if not, could it be added in future? We have quite a few users who don't bother telling the staff when a user is being disrespectful, and we can't be sure to read 100% of the board 100% of the time :D Having an overview of the most-blocked users would be incredibly handy, because we could then go check that user's post history to see whether anything is amiss in there.

Thank you for that suggestion. We may provide such an overlook of blocked users in the future.

Is this still a supported add-on? I am seriously considering purchasing it, but see that it hasn't been updated since 2015.

This is certainly supported. We do not release new versions just for marketing reasons.

It is compatible and supported.

Great! I'm trying to buy it as we speak, but it appears my registration on your site has to be manually approved?

We've recently run into a situation where we added more Moderators. If someone has already blocked or ignored that moderator, we can't get that to release. I went into the database and deleted all instances of ignore or block in both the xf_users_ignored table and the xf_wmt_user_blocked table. No joy.

I had the new moderators double check their block / ignore list. All good.

I disabled the add-on and the new mods could see the person that was blocking / ignoring them. I'm going to try uninstalling the add-on then re-installing it to see what that does.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Versions:
XenForo 1.4.3
[WMTech] - User Blocking System 1.0.3

If you uninstall the add-on, all blocked users get deleted and those blocks won't be restored when the add-on is reinstalled. If that does not matter to you, you may continue the reinstall.

The blocked/ignored members are cached by XenForo. The renew the cache (after dampering with the database entries) we recommend to block (and immediatelly unblock) a user via the XenForo interface.

Just to clarify.. user A and user B are fighting. If user A initiates a block on user B, at this point user A no longer sees content from User B AND eventhough user B did not initiate a block on user A, they are blocked from seeing user A content? So in a way user A has also forced user B to be unable to view their content? Thanks

Yes, this is called "blocking" by us. Both users are hidden from each other.

Thanks, pretty close to buying this. Is there an easy enough way to have ignore and block co-exist? For example users see "ignore" "block" links on the user cards etc?

You can decide via an option switch if they see "block" or "ignore" links on the user card. Each user can decide if they want to block or just ignore the other user. The interface offers both options to them (see screenshots).

Sounds great! The user requesting this on my site also wants to know: If member A blocks member B, does that mean that member B *cannot* see ANY of A's content? Thanks!
