What I really dont like is that we have all h2, h3 linked.
If I remember right we could use also something like "id name = post_id" instead to set <a href name on the title?

A wiki is something people do for people (very often)
Some users in a forum need to be special, they need to show everyone to be in the top 10 of posters, and have won 13 times the "best post of month" blabla.
I don't know such people, and I never cared for them (maybe a fault),
but I am sure they exist, else we would not have so many add-ons for them.
Anyway ...
Left: A wiki is done by the people for the people => no user/name/poster for wiki-posts
Right: A users needs to show that he his special or whatever => big, big username for wiki-posts like in an article
What we do now?
From my point of view the "wiki-post" should have no user at all, nothing on the left like in a post, nothing at the bottom like in an article.
Again from my point of view: a forum can be something from people for people, at least the wiki should be.
And so, we need to use the article and get rid of the user-part
or do a new template
or do a new type of post.
I will view how to make a new forum type;
but only to have no infos about the user is no reason for that?
What else could be done with a new "post type"?
Integrating the toc? Something else?
I have no idea about this now ... go to gym ... hope to get some answers ...
While I have to edit typos, add some text and things like this,
I see again, that it makes no sense to have long articles on one page because editing really makes no fun.
Solution: Have something to edit text directly in the text (somehow with editable blocks?)
Or use shorter posts and a TOC for the posts.

What do we want?
A wiki forum? All threads have special features?

Is it possible that we want to have some normal threads inside our wiki forum?
There is at least one case: If I make a list of all threads (I am not sure, where and how) and dont want to have all threads inside this list.

Good that you are here, I have many small questions.
Currently, I am trying different ways so show categories and forums inside the Wiki.
The wikipedia-style is finished so far, but ... do we like that links on mobiles?
The list of users is done in the same size, but how often we click users there?
And how often people will click the subforums in the wiki?
Big questions for small problems or vice versa, what do you think about the link-list?
Somehow I dont like the middots at the beginning of a line. But to avoid breaks, I need more code ... and have more space at the end of the lines.

I do this as well, it has broken once or twice but I’ve been able to resolve any issues and it works very smoothly.

When I type :sar .... I get this smiley dropdown. It works here too ... just type :sar What is this editor feature called ? Are there other examples of this behavior being used by xenforo or other addons ? :sar (on Xenforo.com)

has anything progressed on this front? for me I think the absolute easiest solution would be a way to allow a certain group of users to be able to edit sticky posts? or some sort of post similar to a "sticky" that could be labeled as "wiki" that would allow for community editing/feedback as well as tracking the edit history publicly?
not much reason to reinvent the wheel when wikipedia is a pretty widely accepted format that works well (imo anyway). surely something far less complicated can be implemented for a specific post type? edit history already exists for posts but is only visible to admins/moderators?

I have developed a suite of solutions that apply write permissions beyond the initial post. I have experimented with keyword handling across body text and tags, implemented tables of contents, and explored the use of namespaces. At some point, a client will want a wiki; that will be my opportunity to consolidate all of this. I have not yet implemented genuine in-place editing—editing content directly on the page without a separate form—but I intend to attempt it. Ultimately, my primary concern is ease of use and operational speed, which may prove to be the greatest challenge.

I first installed VaultWiki on vBulletin shortly after it was released. The strong feature is the management of the history of all versions of a given article. The largest issue with integration is integrating the images with Media Gallery which really cannot be done because the wiki images have the same replacement property that all the rest of the contents there have.
The more serious issue is that you need a guru who is willing to be the administrator for the wiki and control the content and you need broad knowledge moderators that can be assigned moderation duties in each article. Wikipedia has the same problem with management so there are literally hundreds of volunteer moderators that try to keep it all on track.
We had a great moderator for our "Encyclopedia" but he came under attack from part of our community and left to work on his own knowledge base. It has been 15 years now so I would characterise the admin issue as the major concern with wiki in forum.

IMHO vaultwiki attachments should not be used at all. Just use links to XFMG images / XFRM files and avoid VW attachment system altogether. Disallow the use of VW attachments entirely. I'd start to use it only when VW adopts XF attachment system, which is probably not going to happen.
