Why forums don't have H2 headings

I just wonder, why forums don't have H2 heading tags in order to be used for articles or maybe for long forum posts? Is there any particular reason?

The TinyMCE editor, available with this add-on, has an H2 heading toolbar button, and it inserts the h2 on and off tag. I use the add-on and can vouch for it. @cclaerhout

I've added a custom [header] BBCode to my forum to do this - it's really useful for a variety of reasons
