Why are there so many spams here?

The way I see the whole spam situation. It beats adsense.

Jokery aside *gun held to head* there's no spam everything is fine here, your eyes are deceiving you.

The spam filters are third part add-ons and the XF Forum is supposed to be a demo of out of the box XF.

Even with the add-on spam filters on, even my small traffic forum sees a couple spammers a day registering and requiring manual email address banning.
 
Indeed xenforo is currently suffering from spams hopefully we see an update regarding spam prevention. I am thankful for all of the resources that we have to block spam but admins are not on xenforo.com all of the time so they need software update that can help reduce the amount of spam. Again we can't block spams completely because they always find away to out like in any other software.

I actually agree with that... I really don't like adsense.

I've started using 'Whats New' to find & delete the spam in addition to waiting for people to report posts. Please report the spam if you see it, especially if it is in the middle of a thread.

As far as I can tell, every moderator has been working hard dealing with the spam.

We need to draw a picture of the usual spammer.
It'll be someone with Ugg boots, a Louis Vuitton handbag, some viagra in their pocket. What else ?

Edit. looks like a Russian. wearning a shirt that says xrumer.

looks depressed - on some antidepressant (escitalopram, or whatever antidepressant).

I think someone might need to prune out some of those QA CAPTCHA questions
"what colour is a ripe banana" will be in most Xrumers users textcapctha.txt and probably be in the Xrumer core

Those who read topic "How to teach Xrumer to new text captcha" – know that our software is able to pass such protection like “What is current year?”, “2+2=?” etc.

Tenants,

You seem to know a lot about xrumer. I didn't even know it existed, but have learned a lot from the information you have posted about it. I even went over to the spammer boards and did some reading. I see a lot of folks selling lists. So let me ask you this question: Is there any way I can check to see if my board is listed in the master list? I am pretty sure it is...as....according to XenUtiles registration logs, I have received 3100 denied spambot registrations over the past four days. But still, I would like to see if I'm in the lists already. Just curious I guess.
